Philip Goldberg, President-Elect

phillip-1Philip Goldberg is a Montgomery County native and has built several successful businesses in Maryland. He has expertise in business development, operation, sales, marketing, and website development. Philip graduated from the University of Arizona in 1998.

Philip is a Founding Member of the Maryland Cannabis Industry Association and has been actively involved in the formulation of the regulations adopted by the Maryland Cannabis Commission.

Philip has provided both written as well as oral testimony before the Cannabis Commission, on topics that are important to the industry and to patients suffering from a variety of medical conditions that can be treated with medical Cannabis.

Philip is the Owner of Green Leaf Medical, LLC, a Maryland company applying for a license to cultivate and process medical Cannabis.


Darrell Carrington, Executive Director

carrington-1Darrell Carrington has 25 years of experience working with every level of government, non-profits and the private sector. Mr. Carrington worked in the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Office serving as the Prisoner Re-entry Coordinator. As a member of a team of contract lobbyists in 2007, Darrell assisted in getting the Medical Decision-Making Bill and the Inheritance Tax Bill passed in the Maryland General Assembly. Mr. Carrington has lobbied in Annapolis, Maryland for the past 5 years, representing a wide variety of clients from professional sports teams to civil rights groups to energy policy and utilities. Mr. Carrington also serves as the Vice-President of the Greater Bowie Democratic Club which incorporates Legislative District 23 and Councilmanic District 4.

Mr. Carrington comes to the State of Maryland from Rutgers University where he spent over 10 years developing and funding programs for at-risk youth and low-income populations. His experience in grant writing and programmatic operations is quite varied. He has received funding from every level of government, non-profits and the private sector in excess of $15 million.


Michael Klein, President

klein-1Michael is a Maryland resident and Certified Public Accountant. He has served as a trusted advisor and consultant to public and private businesses and their boards for over 30 years. Mike is a founding member of MDCIA.
